Once again, the Holiday Season is approaching fast! During this time, we ask that each neighbor follow these safety tips:
- Lock your car doors – remember to remove valuable items out of plain sight in your vehicle. The majority of B&E cases are the result of individuals
leaving valuables in the open or leaving vehicle doors unlocked. - If you see suspicious activity, please report it to the police. For non‐emergency issues, call 311 (CharMeck). In Cabarrus County, call 704‐786‐9155.
- If a street light is out in your area, report it to Duke Energy using this link. You can also download their mobile app.
- Receiving a package: Around the holiday season, there are reports that packages are stolen from neighbors porches. If you’re expecting something and you are not going to be home to receive it. Let a neighbor know so that they can get it or have the carrier hold the package until you can pick it up. Ordering from Amazon? You have the ability to request that your package be left in one of their lockers.
- Be sure to break down boxes and dispose of them properly.
