🏡Architectural Review Committee (ARC)

The Architectural Review Committee (ARC) serves as a steward of our neighborhood’s visual integrity and long-term value. This team ensures that all exterior modifications and home improvement projects align with the standards outlined in the Covenants, Conditions, and Restrictions (CC&Rs), promoting quality, harmony, and consistency throughout the community.

Members of the ARC are responsible for:

  • Reviewing and approving homeowner-submitted plans for exterior improvements in the confines of the CC&Rs
  • Provide timely, written responses to the Association Manager
  • Monitoring for potential violations and reporting any concerns to the Association Manager
  • Communicating committee activities and decisions to the Board of Directors

This committee is ideal for residents who value thoughtful design, clear guidelines, and collaborative decision-making. If you’re detail-oriented and passionate about preserving the character of our neighborhood, ARC offers a meaningful way to contribute.

🌿Beautification

The Beautification Committee is all about neighborhood pride – driven by residents who care deeply about the look, feel, and sustainability of our shared spaces. This team works together to enhance the visual appeal of our community, creating a welcoming environment that reflects the spirit and values of those who live here.

Responsibilities include:

  • Organizing regular community cleanups to remove litter from streets, sidewalks, and common areas
  • Coordinate seasonal decorations for holidays and special occasions
  • Promote sustainability through eco-friendly initiatives and education
  • Recruiting and inspiring neighbors to take part in keeping our community clean and vibrant

This is a hands-on, heart-first committee – perfect for those who find joy in rolling up their sleeves, sparking creativity, and making visible improvements that everyone can enjoy. If you’re passionate about beautifying our neighborhood and rallying others to do the same, we’d love to have you involved.

💡Neighborhood Matching Grants

This committee is ideal for bold, innovative individuals with a knack for thinking outside the box. If you’re driven by the idea of transforming shared spaces and bringing fresh ideas to life, this is your opportunity to lead meaningful change.

The City of Charlotte offers a Matching Grants Program that empowers neighborhoods to fund improvement projects through a combination of financial support and volunteer effort. Grants are awarded three times a year and follow a simple but powerful formula: every dollar spent must be matched by volunteer hours. For example, a $500 project would require 20 volunteer hours at a rate of $25/hour.

While we enthusiastically welcome volunteers from all areas, only residents within eligible zones – excluding Cabarrus County and the Town of Harrisburg – can contribute hours toward the official grant match. That said, we strongly encourage everyone, including those from Cabarrus County and Harrisburg, to get involved and help enhance our community. Your time, energy, and ideas are always valued and appreciated.

This committee is responsible for:

  • Brainstorming and proposing creative, high-impact projects
  • Organizing volunteer efforts to meet grant requirements
  • Coordinating with the City and the Board to submit applications and track progress

Potential project ideas include:

  • 🐾 Dog parks and pet-friendly spaces
  • 🚏 Decorative street sign toppers
  • 🏈 Recreational enhancements like goal posts or sports equipment

If you’re ready to turn vision into reality and rally the neighborhood around exciting improvements, we’d love to have you on board.

🏊Pool Committee

The Pool Committee plays a key role in maintaining a safe, enjoyable, and welcoming environment at our neighborhood pool facilities. This team ensures that our shared spaces meet community standards and that every visit to the pool is both relaxing and secure.

Members of the Pool Committee are responsible for upholding pool rules, monitoring cleanliness and maintenance of surrounding areas, and identifying any safety concerns that need to be addressed. They also assist in conducting end-of-season reviews of the pool management company and collaborate with the Board to recommend improvements or changes.

This committee is ideal for residents who bring dedication, determination, and a proactive mindset – those who care deeply about the quality of our amenities and want to help preserve one of our most popular gathering spots.

🛡️ Neighborhood Safety Team

The Neighborhood Safety Team plays a vital role in protecting the well-being of our community. This committee – made up of six dedicated neighbors – works in close partnership with the Board of Directors and local authorities to proactively address safety concerns and promote a secure, welcoming environment for all residents.

This team follows a proven blueprint developed through past efforts, combining strategic planning with grassroots coordination. Members meet monthly with Block Captains and other community leaders to share updates, identify emerging issues, and implement neighborhood-wide safety initiatives. Larger joint meetings are held quarterly and announced through newsletters, signage, social media, and other communication channels.

We’re looking for individuals with dedication, determination, and drive – those who care deeply about their neighbors and are ready to take action. If you’re passionate about community safety and want to make a meaningful impact, this is your chance to lead with purpose.

🎉 Social Committee

The Social Committee brings our neighborhood to life through fun, inclusive events that foster connection and community spirit. From coordinating food truck nights and movie screenings under the stars to hosting our annual End-of-Summer Pool Party, this committee is the heartbeat of our social calendar.

Neighbors who serve on the Social Committee work hand-in-hand with the Board to plan, fund, and coordinate events that foster connection, celebration, and neighborhood pride. This team ensures there’s always something engaging on the horizon – whether it’s seasonal gatherings, casual meetups, or larger community-wide festivities. Their goal is to create opportunities for residents of all ages to come together, build relationships, and enjoy the vibrant spirit of our neighborhood.
